Petit Palace Puerta del Sol

Great location and value for money. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. Staff at the front desk were very helpful. It was great to be able to open the balcony door.

The location is great, 1 minute walk from Sol square, breakfast beyond expectation , the team on the front desk was amazing, especially, Reneta and Sonia, they were helpful, polite, professional, and nice , we enjoyed the stay very much, we will recommend on this hotel to family and friends

Amazing location and we would stay here again if we ever make it back to Madrid. Late November is a fun time of year with xmas lights everywhere. There were some nearby protests but that was random.

The location was fantastic, close to restaurants. Walking distance to Plaza Major, San Miguel Market and shopping. The hotel is situated on Arenal street which has many good restaurants - tapas tapas, steak burger to name a few. We didn't use the subway but the subway station was right outside. The staff welcomed us and always greeted with a smile! We actually walked everywhere to all of Madrid's main attractions. The room was clean and the hotel was pleasantly fragranced. The hotel safe was a must for us- to secure passports and valuables. The room was cleaned only when we wanted it. Cleaners respected the signs to clean or not. The taxi dropped us about 100ft from the hotel as the hotel is located on the Puerta del Sol which is a pedestrian cobblestone walkway but was not a problem. The plaza area outside was under construction but noise from the construction work didn't affect sleep. A buffet breakfast was available @ 11.90 euros pp but we opted to try the local coffee shops nearby.

Location is hard to beat with this place. The service by the staff was excellent, everyone was very helpful and polite. They would even anticipate our needs and offer to keep our bags in lockers before taking the room and once we checked out. The breakfast buffet was very good with enough options to pick from.
